Adulterant testing detects substances (either added to the urine specimen or ingested) that are promoted as "cleansing agents" to prevent the detection of drug use. Adulterant tests are designed to detect specimen tampering or substitution and provide the best information from which to make informed personnel decisions. The adulterants tested for include these compounds:
Nitrite > 500 ug/mL
Creatinine < 20 mg/dL
PH(<) or (>11)
Specific Gravity indicated
Alternate Screening Pyridinchlorochromate
Acids, Bases
Bleach
Glutaraldehyde
Chromates
